Terms and Conditions

Order Procedures / Minimums

Orders must be placed two business days before your delivery day; add on orders will be taken until noon the day prior to delivery. Your orders can be called or faxed in, but please use product codes, this helps us to make sure you recieved what you ordered.

ELF has a minimum of $300.00 order for delivery (effective JAN. 1 2007). This is one of the lowest in the industry. Back orders of cages and seasonal items will not count toward this minimum. If for any reason you order does not meet this minimum please order bi-weekly.

We make every effort to call all active accounts for orders on a weekly basis, but please remember this is a courtesy call. If we don't reach you it is your responsibility to call or fax your order in at the appropriate time. We attempt to call all customers with back orders when possible to offer substitutions or allow you the time to locate the product from another source.

Receiving Orders

At time of delivery, please have someone "check in" the product and sign the invoice. Notify the driver of any damages or shortages at that time and record it on the invoice. ELF is not liable for any damages or shortages after the driver leaves.

Payment

ALL invoices are C.O.D. If payment is not possible at the time of delivery, a prior arrangement with management is necessary. Deliveries will not be made if open invoices exist, the account must be settled prior to merchandise being unloaded, there are no exceptions!

Returned Check Policy

All returned checks must be settled immediately, in the form of cash or a cashier check. A $20.00 or 5% of the check amount (whichever is greater), will be charged to your account. Any account with two or more returned checks, may be put on a cash only basis.

Pricing

ELF is proud to offer the best possible wholesale prices every day. Our pricing structure allows all accounts to be competitive. The E.V.D (Elf Volume Discount) program is set up to reward accounts that order more on a single invoice, regardless how often you take deliveries. Our prices are not inflated In order to offer deep discounts, our prices are not inflated. We believe your actual cost every day is what counts. The discount structure starts at a true wholesale price and depending on invoice total, you can receive up to a 17% discount on select products and 10% on the remaining.

Policy for Returned Product

Consumer Returns

Most of our suppliers offer 100% consumer satisfaction guarantees with all of their products. Most of these returns ELF will handle, although in some instances the manufacture will be required to handle them directly.

On the occasion there is a consumer complaint brought to your attention, if justified, you should replace the consumers product and then obtain the following information for credit / replacement product from ELF:

  1. The full name, address and telephone number from the consumer.
  2. The details of the situation, the nature of the return.
  3. Any unused portion with the original package along with date of retail purchase.

The manufacture must confirm any questionable claims submitted by any retailers before ELF will issue a credit. Please call with any questions.

Retailer Returns

ELF Pet Products does not guarantee the sale of any of our products. ELF is not responsible for the replacement of damaged or out of date merchandise.

When a product quality problem occurs, such as improper seals, infestation, etc. the retailer should notify ELF immediately. The following information should be provided:

  1. Nature of Problem
  2. Item and Product Code affected
  3. Delivery Date
  • Perishable products such as animal feeds can be returned to ELF within 15 days of delivery.
  • Non-perishable products can be returned to ELF within 30 days.
  • All products out of these guidelines must be approved by the manufacturer.
  • All products that are not manufacturer defects or miss-ship from ELF will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • If returning an item within these guidelines, please inform office when placing your order so ELF can issue a pick-up return slip for the driver. Otherwise see your outside representative.

Damages & Shortages

Note any shortages, damages, or discrepancies on the invoice and obtain the signature of the driver. Call the office if an invoice needs to be adjusted. All invoicing problems must be corrected at time of delivery. If a retailer has any concealed damage on the shipment you must notify an ELF representative immediately. Call the office.

Any other problems the retailer should call the office or see their ELF representative.

E.V.D. ELF's Volume Discount

This is a wholesale catalog, It is not inflated to offer deep discounts, Aside from excellent products and service, we offer a true discount based on your purchases. Below is a guideline of the E.V.D program:

  • $500.00 to $749 per order, a 5.0% true savings will be credited to your entire purchase.
  • $750 to $999 per order, a 7.5% true savings will be credited to your entire purchase.
  • $1000 to $1499 per order, a 10% true savings will be credited to your entire purchase.
  • $1500 to 1999 per order, a 12.5% true savings will be credited to your entire purchase including only HIGGINS VITA SEEDS, DYNASTY VITA SEEDS, KAYTEE AND ZUPREEM.
  • $2000 and over per order: true savings will be credited to your entire purcahse. you will receive a 15% true savings in most HIGGINS VITA & DYNASTY VITA SEEDS. A 17% true saving on most KAYTEE PRODUCTS
    A 20% true saving on ZUPREEM AVIAN PELLETS
    A 20% true savings on all DYNASTY PELLETS, CRATES & CAGES
    A 10% true savings on all other items.

Keep in mind that our catalog is a true wholesale catalog. We will consider backorders towards discount, except for bird cages,dog creates and industry shortages (such as: millet, comodities,seasonal products or etc) .

Thank you for inquiring about Elf Pet Products Distributors. We require a few documents before an account is established. Please refer below for the proper documents needed.


The following are the documents we need if you are a pet store:
  1. A customer application
  2. A copy of your annual resale certificate (for the current year)
  3. A copy of your occupational license
The following are the documents we need if you are a breeder:
  1. A customer application.
  2. A copy of your annual resale certificate (for the current year).
  3. A copy of your breeding license or occupational license.
Once your account has been established, you will be assigned an account number, a catalog will be sent to you, and someone will contact you from our staff. Thank you for your interest in Elf Pet Products Distributors, Inc.
